This may be due to:<\/span><\/p><ol style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif;\"><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Spraying during cold, wet or humid weather.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Use of too fast or poor quality thinner.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Compressed air pressure too high, and\/or poor spray gun set up.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Fanning compressed air onto the film to speed up solvent release.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\"><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Draughty paint shop, or inadequate heating and\/or air movement.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-113c466a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"113c466a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Prevention<\/strong><\/p><ol><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">If possible, avoid spraying air drying paint during raining or exceptionally cold or humid weather. If this is unavoidable, a non-bloom thinner should be used.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Use correct grade of thinner.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Reduce compressed air pressure to minimise the cooling effect.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Allow solvent release to take place naturally.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\"><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Ensure that the paint shop is adequately heated, properly ventilated and free from draughts.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-625a9d48 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"625a9d48\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Rectification<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-family: Poppins, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"standfirst\">Slight blooming may be removed by the use of polishing compound, after the paint film has hardened, or by spraying the affected area with non-bloom thinners. In more severe cases, rub down the surface, and repaint using\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">the correct grade or thinner or non-bloom thinner. If these remedies fail to correct the fault, raise the temperature of the paint shop by a minimum of five degrees, avoid all direct draughts, flat and repaint the affected area.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-family: Poppins, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"standfirst\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">NOTE: Blooming of the colour coat may indicate that the undercoats have been similarly affected, the defect having gone unnoticed due to their matt finish.
